Late period

Alright y'all, kinda see what y'all think. So, last month I got my period on the 1st and it lasted exactly 2 weeks, then I made an obgyn appointed at the end of last month and had found out I had a yeast infection. They did a test to make sure I wasn't pregnant and it came back negative. Well now, my period is a little over two weeks late, which I'm really hoping is just because I'm on a new birth control... do y'all think I should get a test?
