Gender test?

Question

I was reading about a test called maternity 21 that is designed to check for Down syndrome and others as well but that also tells you the sex of your baby. It's done as early as 10 weeks and is a non invasive procedure that just requires a blood draw. Wondering if anyone has done this before?

I had it done at 12 weeks, most insurance wont cover the test unless there is any reason behind testing like history of downs etc. i had it done because they thought baby had some fluid in the neck. Everything came back ok and next scan was perfect so it was just a measurment error from ultrasound tech. But i did learn i was having a boy.

I did it but it was after a heart defect diagnosis. I was also 22 weeks along and had already known the sex. It did confirm the sex of our baby but it's to test for trisomy's and downs. And other chromosomal abnormalities. Most insurances won't cover it unless you need it because of a diagnosis like we had. It is also kind of expensive. It would have cost us $275 if we didn't have the reason to get it done.
