Potty Training this early? 16 months

This is what I woke up to and she took her pamper off yesterday. I think we’ll start introducing her to the potty and see what happens

We started potty training at 14 months and she has always enjoyed it a lot. It feels great to basically be potty trained by now. 👍

I started Introducing the potty at 12 months and worked my way from there. My son was fully aware and trained by 18 months. But I will say he didn’t fully understand or grasp it until 14-16 months. So now is a great time to start!

Oh Jeeze! My guy pulls at his all the time and has only managed to rip it completely off once but I don’t think he’s ready at all. I just put a potty in his bathroom so he sees it and “flushes” A.K.A. presses the button on it all the time.

I recommend Oh Crap! Potty Training book. It really helps you know when to start and gets you into the right mentality.

Hey there. So, I just want to be real with you. I chose the “Oh Crap!” Method. It’s very highly recommended. 
We started last week because my daughter was signing to me when she would pee or poop and sometimes before. 
It’s hard. It’s terrible. I do not recommend. Haha. 
I know you are considering a more relaxed approach it sounds like, but just know that that would likely take longer.
There is a kiddo that is 17 months who also started the same day and is making some progress. 
I’m no expert. But just kinda have a game plan, and know that potty training is the worst. We are going to throw in the towel. I’m tired of cleaning up pee. We will try again in 1-2 months. She’s ready to train, but not ready to give up diapers. Every kid is so different though. I truly believe that now. Haha. I’m personally traumatized from the experience though.

It’s actually a great age to ditch diapers. It’s only the past couple generations that have waited so long to potty train, thanks to Pampers ad campaigns telling parents to keep their kids in diapers longer. We have been out of daytime diapers for about 5 months now. She still wears a diaper at night just in case but wakes up dry pretty much all the time. Oh Crap is a good method.

Wouldnt consider it yet personally. My son will take his diaper off if i don't put shorts on him.

My daughter (now 3) was an anomaly but she did have strong interest and began pooping on the potty at 16 mos. she was also insanely verbal so we knew- “I do it! Potty! Big girl! Try it! Ready!”  We never would’ve started her that young had she not asked and wanted to on her own. 
They said my 17mo March ‘19 baby is nowhere near! He is also super verbal tho not to her extent but is happy as can be pooping in his diaper! Truly if they are not ready, it’s a million times more work. Wait for cues.
