Ladies, how would you describe your relationship with your mother?

I love my mother, I wouldn’t call her my BFF as I’m now grown and have my own family and friends. She is more my role model and I hope to be like her. We talk fairly often, usually when I need advice or she needs to vent about my grandma.

I put other because it’s good but my mother is also very toxic at times. She can be very selfish and often makes everything about her. She’s demanding and gets mad when I can’t just drop my life to run to her or answer her phone call right away. But some days she’s great. I should add she’s been diagnosed at bipolar.

My mom is no longer living either. She passed away 4 years ago. She was my best friend, #1 supporter, non-judgemental, loving, and kind. She was a truly an angel that was only here for a short amount of time. We had a great relationship! 💜 I feel very lucky to have had such a beautiful relationship with my mom. But it's heartbreaking and difficult being a mom myself and going through all these challenges and experiences without her.

Haven’t talked to her since 2017 🙌🏻 she’s an alcoholic and worry toxic she’s terrible so I choose not to have her in my life. My kids will never call her grandma either.

My mother is a selfish pill addict that chooses drugs over her kids, only recently cut her off and boy am I stress free at the moment.
Miss my siblings a lot though..

My mother abused my brothers and I ever since we were young since my dad died when I was 5 and she no longer could abuse him. I have lots of PTSD from living with her and other issues. She caused me to become suicidal at eight years old (I genetically have severe depression) and even now i’m still a bit suicidal. My mom is a drug addict, smoker, a pathological liar, and overall toxic and abusive. All three of us moved officially to my grandparents house when I first started 6th grade and we haven’t lived with her since. Sometimes I see her but not often.

I said could be better because both of us are very introverted and aren't particularly good at maintaining relationships with other people in general. But I rely on her for emotional support and advice and my parents are paying for the majority of our home renovation (it was supposed to be THEIR home renovation, but that's a whole other thing).

My mom is no longer alive but when I lived with her we were always together and then I moved to another state which made her mad which I completely understand I was 17 and now she’s gone I’m now 18
