My bf (23) has ED due to excessive porn consumption. Does it ever go back to normal?

He has had issues with porn for a long time and it has hurt my mental health greatly and the way I see myself...I’m kinda glad he can’t get it up anymore but also worried about him and us. He has been ignoring me for over a year and now he has erectile disfunction. 
Can someone fully recover from it?
Extra question: How likely is an addict to fall back into their vice when they have something potentially life changing like this happen to them? 
Idk if it’s worth staying in this relationship, it seems like a definite 0 sex life for me.

An ex of mine had issues with stuff like this due to excessive porn use. He went to the dr and when the dr said he should stop using porn, he told the dr he was an idiot, spit on the floor and stormed out. Yep. Classy. 
Anyways, I feel like HE has to want to “fix” his problem. I knew a guy who dealt with the same issue. He wanted to fix it. So he did his damndest to stop using porn (I was his support buddy, nothing sexual at all) and he eventually over came it and everything was fine. He’s married, has 3 kids and as far as I know is doing great. 
But he should def see a doctor and make sure it’s not something medical.

My ex had this and couldn’t keep an erection and had nerve damage from the same at 23. He never got help for it as far as I know. He ought to see a doctor and you two should go to counseling together

If he stops porn and masturbation, and it’s not a physical problem, he should be able to recover. He just crossed too many wires in his brain watching porn and his nervous system no longer reacts to normal sexual stimulation. Sad how this is happening to so many young men

My bf has that. And I told him its from excessively watching porn. He'd do 3x a day. He didn't believe me and continued. Then he tried to have sex with me and couldn't get it up at all. He'd make all excuses how it was my fault or its just cause he was tired. Its been over a year and a half since we've had sex and he still chooses porn over me. He told me he lessened it but he wont stop all together. So Ik we won't be having sex ever again. And he's 28. We've been together for 5 years
