Looking for legal advice!!

Anyone on here a lawyer or is your spouse a lawyer?? I have a question I need to be answered! Lmk and I’ll post my question on my topic! (Its not about custody or anything like that)

—BACKSTORY:

In February my husband and I started the process of buying a modular home. We put our land up for part of our down payment. We got approved for the loan, etc, they started building the house at the factory for us. COVID hit. The factory had to close a couple times and made them way behind on building our house and our foundation being put on the land. So finally a few weeks ago, the house was built and delivered to the lot and they finally put the foundation down a couple weeks after the house was built and on the lot. I had a baby in June. At this point I was still on maternity leave with about 5 more weeks of leave left to take. We thought everything was fine. But at this point, the lady over our loan tells us that its been so long that our loan has expired and she has to redo all our stuff -check stubs, verification of employment, bank statements, etc. so I’m on maternity leave and my husband was laid off due to covid. She says she can’t redo our loan until I go back to work. I went back to work about 2 weeks ago then they ran my credit again and now they’re saying I don’t make enough money to be on the loan by myself so we’re probably gonna have to wait until my husband draws a months worth of pay (which he is back at work now). But my job is not working out at the moment as far as needing a babysitter and all that. I’m so stressed out and to the point of saying forget the house. My QUESTION is, is there anyway they could sue us if we told them we didn’t want the house anymore? The house is not on our land. We have not signed any papers closing on the house/loan. We have not even been “approved” for the loan again at this point. But could they sue us for the cost of the foundation or house or take our land or anything like that?? (In Mississippi)
