My last pregnancy I️ got a vvfl at 8 dpo and bfp at 9... this cycle I️ haven’t had any faint lines yet and period is due is 5 days. Am I️ out or do I️ just need to give it more time?

Each pregnancy is very, very different. Try not to compare what happened your last pregnancy to what you’re going through now. An early bfp last time doesn’t have anything to do with this time. Implantation can take 6-12 days, and however long it took last time doesn’t apply to the next time. It could be the same but most likely it won’t be. Try to wipe the slate in your mind and pretend like you’ve never been through it before, because if you are pregnant, you’ve never been through this pregnancy before. It is completely unique to itself. Good luck!

It depends on when you implant not necessarily the days before period. Implantation can occur anywhere from 6-12dpo and then needs a couple days after for the hcg to become detectable in urine. 
Most common implant date is usually 9dpo so you’d see a positive pregnancy test (on a really sensitive test like FRER) by around 11dpo. If you have 5 more days to go for a period give it some more time and test again closer to 12-14dpo.

Each pregnancy is wildly different. My first pregnancy I didn't get a good positive until almost 8 weeks. My next I got a positive the day after my period was late. The following one was 4 days after late period. Fourth was day of late period. Fifth was 5 days after late period. Unfortunately, 2-5 all ended in miscarriage.
