I could kick myself

My bf and I had decided to try and add a third person recently. Mostly for a friend (I have like 0) but also for us both to enjoy. I was hesitant at first but decided what the hell. We got on bumble to find someone, well he found one girl and has really connected with her. Problem is she has no interest in being a third. He has continued to talk to her, keeping it respectful.

My issue is I had already told him before they got into talking that I wasn’t interested in her. He proceeded to tell me last night he feels a connection with her and feels bad. He knows he messed up but said it will be difficult to stop talking to her as he has really started to like her. He doesn’t want to leave me, but can see the benefit of this other girl. ( single, successful and driven, no kids).

I have issues with the fact I don’t know her and cannot trust it will stay respectful. I have trust issues from my previous marriage. Just looking for a place to vent and maybe talk this out 😞
