With potty training, what did or are you using?

We use both. At school, though, they use little potties, so that is what she mostly uses. I don't think it actually matters. Just do what works out best in your bathroom.

Definitely the seat - both my boys preferred to seat as opposed to the potty, because they would see me and my husband using the toilet and felt way more comfortable with it. I’d also get them slightly used to the potty too though, so you can take one in the car with you if you ever need it on the go!

I started with a separate potty but I was SO GLAD to switch over to the one that goes into the regular toilet. The separate potty would get so gross and having to constantly be cleaning it was also gross and not ideal for me lol.

We only used the potty chair. We had two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs during the day. We started potty training at 15 months so she was still too small for the big toilet at the time.

I used a small seat for the toilet and kept a kids portable potty in my truck (with a bottle of water and wipes) for when we were on the go or bathrooms were 🤢.

My girls both potty trained by 2 so they were too small for the big potty even with a seat.

We are starting pretty young (18 months), so my daughter isn’t physically big enough for the big potty and step stool. We bought a potty chair for her.

We used the regular toilet with a seat on top. I didn’t have to add an extra step to the process (my niece is four and STILL prefers to poop and pee on the little potty, which is still in the bathroom because she has younger siblings) and my daughter was never scared of the big potty.
