what swaddle do you use ?

i feel like i have tried every swaddle under the moon.. my 6 weeks old breaks her arms free of everyone or cries and grunts all night trying to get free and then hates the love to dream swaddle but i can’t not use a swaddle because of her startle reflex 😅😅😅😭😭😭 HELPPPP ONE TIRED MAMA!!!!! BTW she’s 6 weeks

Try a sleep sack. Amazon has lots for very cheep. Neither of my kids liked being swaddles, but loved the sleep sacks. Keeps them nice and warm and my baby is 6 weeks today and sleeps great at nighttime most nights only wakes to eat.

I just use large muslin cloths. I find my 4 week old baby will only swaddle and go to sleep if she is very sleepy. She will sleep for 3-4 hours then when she wakes she grunts and wiggles her arms out. If she isn’t ready for sleep she wiggles her way out straight away. When she does this I just give her an extra feed until she goes to sleep during the night. She is breastfed.

I like the stretchy knit ones from Lou Lou and company. I can get it nice and tight and since it stretches she can’t escape as easily.

I never bothered with swaddles with either of my kids, the midwives at the hospital tried it with my son and he screamed the place down 😂. I just let them get used to the startle reflex and it pretty quickly stopped bothering them. My daughter hasn't had an issue with it since she was about 2 weeks old.

Zipadeezip sleep sack? I had two kids that did great in the swaddle and then this one after trying them all, literally, I have love to dream, halo, muslin blankets... I gave up one night and realized he just slept better without it. He also doesn’t mind a tight swaddle around the stomach with hands and arms out, feels like a hug I’d imagine. So don’t feel bad if it just doesn’t work!

Halo fleece “back is best” swaddle has been amazing for our baby girl so far! I have so many other swaddles but it’s the only one that works so far.
