Meeting ppl in apt

I just moved into an apartment with some friends in my college town. Does anyone have any tips on how to meet other people in the apartment?? Like I feel weird about it because most of these people probably already have set groups to hang with. Also like Rona is still a thing so I don’t wanna get too close to people but I don’t wanna miss my window of meeting new friends
