It will really depend on your own personal circumstances. You’ll have to wait until the time comes, and see what the babies’ positions are and any other issues you may be having, and what your doctor’s advice is. Sometimes you eontget a choice in the end.

I’m also i Canada, the epidural wasn’t mandatory just highly encouraged. I had a vaginal birth with and epidural and I’m glad I had the meds. While I was delivery Baby B, my OB had her arm inside of me (up to her elbow) to hold onto him while I pushed. While she was doing this, I had two nurses pushing down on my stomach to prevent him from flipping. Coupled with the contractions and crowning, there is no way in hell I wanted to feel any of that.

Here in Canada , I had no choice but to have the epidural in case something went wrong . Got it when I at 7 ! Birth went very well !
