What to do when he won't make it official?

This guy and I have been seeing eachother for a while now, like 4 years, and he doesn't want to make it official, as in calling me his girlfriend and ya know that. although it's just a title, it still bugs me. any advice?

I spent 7 years of my life trying to get a guy to commit to me and it never happened and honestly looking back I feel like it was a complete waste of my time. If he isn't wiling to commit after 4 years there's a problem and it's him, not you. My advice? Find someone who is willing to give you the commitment and respect you deserve.

Leave him. He's just keeping his options open. I "dated" a guy who wanted to be "exclusive" without the title for like 9 months, except I was the only one being exclusive. Guys like that have commitment issues. He's just not that into you, go find someone who can give you SO much more. You deserve better.

I went through the same thing for 2 years! He wouldn't call me his gf or put a title to it after waiting and waiting I finally had enough and I stopped seeing him!! After 2 weeks being split up he was texting and calling me sending me songs telling me he screwed up that now he wants marriage so I took him back now we are going on 3 years, and I'm his gf finally! It was the hardest thing I ever did was to walk away but for our relationship it worked! Good luck I feel for you it isn't easy.

haha I have told him and we've talked about it, he says he doesn't want to say he will marry me because he doesn't know what his future will look like and he doesn't want to promise me something that he's not positive will happen. occasionally he will say he wants it, but then says he doesn't want to let me down, or himself down if it doesn't work out, but never makes any effort to continue our relationship.

I would ask him what he is waiting for? Him not wanting to marry you is like saying he might not want to be with you. That's what I would tell him. I'm pretty sure you've already told him that you want to be married! Lol
