Hospital bill?

Have you guys gotten your hospital bill yet? We paid half of it at the hospital while we were there and now it’s been over 2 months and we haven’t received the rest of the bill. 
I mean, I’m not complaining about it 😂 but I’m just curious because I don’t want us to owe money that we didn’t know about/forgot about because we never got the bill in the mail!

I had to call and ask for mine to be sent because I want to use my hsa before it expired. They had it ready for me when I talked to someone so 🤷🏻‍♀️.

We got ours 2months after our checkout date.

Be wary. Every hospital is different, I'm sure they bill differently. But don't be surprised if you receive a bill months from now. Both my sister and I delivered at a birthing center and pre paid our care. But my sister had a surgery to correct some postpartum bleeding and she was receiving bills for months. The same thing happened with my husband's knee surgery. Every few months we'd receive a bill for a different piece of the surgery that they had finally worked out with the insurance. It was mor than a year before we paid the last one. 
Just be cautious. Paying for thw hospital isnt always straightforward. Calling the hospital to ask about your balance is a good idea. You can usually call to work out a payment plan too if you get a  surprise bill later.

I would call the hospital if I were you. They can let you know if uou still have an outstanding balance due.
I have a bill but we are waiting a touch before I call and try to get them to settle at a lower number.
