What is everyone feeding babies?

Are you all feeding babies stage 3 food? Or something else? And if regular food that you eat, how do we know what size portions to give baby?

Reading these comments makes me feel crazy! Lol I’m so scared to give my little guy anything but he is OVER purées. Maybe this is why he’s only in the 10th percentile for weight. I’m not feeding the poor kid enough!!

My boy eats everything. I call him the dumpster. For breakfast he gets prune puree(we have some regularity issues)with chunks of kiwi and yogurt. For lunch it is whatever we are having or what is in the fridge. The other day he had cubed ham and cheese mixed with applesauce and I added chopped mushrooms for a veggie. We cannot eat without him so he also gets a taste of whatever we are eating if we eat at a different time. Last week he had rabbit. He gets pretty big chunks but anything hard we cut smaller.

At 9 months we are still doing mostly baby oatmeal with iron fortified with breastmilk and then adding a purée. She also eats yogurt bites and the little num num cracker bits. She loves fruit in the mesh feeder still and devours it. Sometimes I put soft food down for her to eat and she does but it mostly just gets everywhere. She has 5 teeth but spits out anything that is too big of a chunk. 😆

We usually just give our son some of what we are having to eat! He has 4 teeth and does pretty well with chewing. The other night I was at to just give him a cheesy breadstick and he ate the whole thing! It took us awhile to work up to it I feel like though

We started giving her whatever we eat. She doesn’t like Gerber food or any of that anymore. She sees our food and wants that. So we just cut it small.

We still do some purées for easy fix if I don’t have enough table food otherwise she mostly eats what we eat and I let her feed herself. Babies are good at eating what they want so she stops when she’s done. She does well at handling most foods of varying sizes.
Today was scrambled eggs, toast with avocado, and strawberries for breakfast, chunks of grilled cheese sandwich, peas and applesauce for lunch, and spaghetti for dinner.

We give what we are eating usually (as long as it’s not spicy, too hard, or he’s allergic to it - egg) and just feed him until he lets us know he’s done (reaches for me to get him out). I only put a few pieces of food on his tray at a time or he swipes it all onto the floor for the dogs. This morning he ate two breakfasts sausage links (quartered lengthwise and cut into bite size pieces) and a small pancake with a spoonful of Greek yogurt 😳 it was a lot for him - but sometimes he’s not interested and will only eat a couple bites of something.

Today she had eggs, raspberries and Cheerios for breakfast, homemade Mac and cheese for lunch, yogurt, bread, and strawberries for dinner. She gets what I eat as long as it’s soft enough for no teeth.

My son doesn't really like pureed foods, but he likes food chunks. I generally give him pieces of what we're eating around mealtimes anywhere between the size of a pea to a blueberry. I make sure it's soft enough that he can gum it down. For foods like peas I squish them first. He likes cherrios and yogurt melts and chunks of cheese and egg and fruits and carrots and toast, etc.
