How many of you have been momshamed? How bout from your own mom!

So today I FaceTime'd my mom and my baby was right next to me sleeping. We were on my bed after I did a little bit of side laying to nurse him and he was being clingy (kept fighting his bassnet for nap) so I kept him near me on the bed......I am not only AWAKE, but also FULLY PRESENT and my mom momshamed me. Saying how unsafe I was being with my baby by having him sleep next to me during the day while I was on the phone with her.. Absolutely ridiculous. How did you get mom shamed?

I don’t recall being mom shamed to my face really. Idn if this counts but I did overheard a FaceTime conversation between my husband and my mil and she questioned me using formula and him fully explaining what we do to feed our kid (which I feel is none of her business).  So I guess that’s like indirect mom shaming?

So this is in response to many of our relatives:
BABIES CAN'T BE SPOILED BY BEING HELD!
They need the affecting to survive and getting more and more of it is healthy for them! If we could just cuddle all day long it still would be good and healthy for baby!

My MIL complains about how my son is spoiled because he likes to be held. Ok, 1, Its not my fault he is so cute and 2 I don't like to hold him so much because my arms get tired after a while. I prefer to see him playing and laughing.

My mom tells me all the time how I'm spoiling the baby by holding her,  she's never gonna be independent,  she has too many clothes or toys, she should nap longer etc.

My mom always used to mom shame me with my first. She still does actually lol. I give him what he wants, he’s spoiled, he runs the house, he shouldn’t sleep with us, I breastfed him too long, I don’t discipline him, I don’t cook enough family meals for us etc. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I love her anyways

I feel like many people want to help but have no idea how to be helpful so they just criticize whatever they can in an effort to correct mistakes and feel useful/helpful. "It's so good I'm around to help you out otherwise you would be making so many mistakes!"
1. That's not helpful at all. It's frustrating and makes you want to not have them around at all.
2. Everyone makes mistakes, even the best parents. You can't not make mistakes.
(You know, you can safely bed share too if you were inclined to.)

I don’t know if it’s necessarily mom-shaming but my MIL just LOVED making comments about how much my newborn slept, as if babies aren’t supposed to rest often. Also when we switched to Powder instead of RTF formula oh my lord she had a lot to say about that too, even went out and got us a box of RTF when we told her we were doing powder. A new one, my baby now sleeps 11-12 hours since 2 months old and she always has to say “WOW she’s still asleep?! or “wow she sleeps a lot, you should wake her up!” 
Btw, when my daughters cranky I always lay her beside me on the bed and snuggle close while on my phone. Nothing wrong with that while you’re awake!

I get passive aggressive mom shaming from my mom. She will say things like, oh you’re already being spoiled as she rocks him and he’s crying. Or she will tell me I need to clean under my 3 year old nails because they are always dirty ( he gets a bath nightly because he plays in the sandbox all day) I usually just let it roll off my shoulders but the one that really gets me is when people say my baby is allergic to my milk because he poops a lot or has baby acne 😫
