Hospital protocols

I'm Just wondering what's everyone hospital rules for labor and delivery are..I live in NY and the hospital that I'm going to give birth at only allows one person with me which would be my husband. I have to get tested for covid. my husband is not allowed to come back if he leaves during labor and both of us have to do Routine check every time shift changes now for delivery husband has to leave and is not allowed to come back until it time for baby and I to go home. I have to stay in the hospital room and cant go where ever they take baby girl. Which is going to drive me crazy
