Happy due date! Breastfeeding struggles 🤱

Adam came 10 days early on 20th August.

breastfeeding journey is an uphill slog with a lot of unexpected guilt, but have a lactation consultant on board now. Only got two mins of skin to skin after birth before taken to NICU with breathing concerns after meconium birth. He’s great now, but definitely think it affected my supply coming in so slowly not seeing him for hours after. Won’t latch without a shield and even then won’t feed for long before getting distressed. Lots of formula top ups.

pumping every 3-4hrs (admittedly a bit less at night when hubby doesn’t wanna wake me if I’ve hit some deep sleep. Trying to be persistent but prepared for the possibility I just may not be able to. As long as I’m doing right by him, I’ll get over the hang-up.
