Something wrong with ovarian cyst?

So on 25/26(cant really remember) august, I was walking and had this sharp pain in my left ovary area that I needed to stop walking and then it got mild cramping/pains then after 30min all pain went away, then again two/three days later in the night time I had more pains that woke me up but went away again in 10min and fell back asleep and tonight im having cramping/sharp pains but berable now same spot. I know I got cyst on ovary pluss I got off combinated pill two months ago so I don’t understand whats happening. Called doctor, he said if its not getting all the time or really bad for long go to emergency and for now take pain medicine. Took pregnancy test- not pregnant as mby it could be out of womb pregnancy. Any thoughts on this??!
