Periods

I know most ppl are prescribed provera when they don’t naturally start their period due to anovulation but I was prescribed because I would have spotting like over 10 days after my period had stopped so they gave me provera to stop the spotting and said that my period should still come on time as they always do but now I’m 9 days late. She wants me to test in a week after taking the last pill which will be Thursday. Anybody ever had a similar experience?
