Daycare accident

My son has been getting crazy unexplained boo boos at school a lot here lately. Today he somehow hit his face on the floor and pushed one of his bottom teeth back inside his gum and outward (DSS was contacted and paper work was filed) I immediately took him to the dentist and they said there wasn’t much they could do, they didn’t want to pull it

back up they were scared it would make it infected. I’ve been only giving soft foods but I’m so scared for him. Has anyone ever dealt with a mouth injury like this and it turned out ok? His poor mouth has to hurt and his gum looks awful from the tooth
