Hi ladies is there any NHS mommas on here that know much about maternity leave?

So I’m currently on maternity leave with my first, I’m due back in work December but my question is, we want to start trying for number 2 soon as I don’t want too much of an age gap between my LOs.

Do I have to wait until I go back to work to start trying again in order to get full maternity pay for the second mat leave or can you go back to work already pregnant and still get the full maternity pay?

If the latter. How far gone must you be when you go back in order to get second full maternity pay?

Not sure if the question is clear enough but I’d appreciate some info on this.
