Can someone please tell me risk or effects of second hand smoke and handling infants. You see, I'm 6 months pregnant, and a prior smoker. I don't plan on starting back again for my health as well and my daughter. However, my husband still smokes (outside) and my MIL is a freight train smoker as well and put in she IS going to be staying with us when the baby is born. I haven't talked to her about it but she's not going to stop, if the heart attack, CODP, and multiple surgeries for stints hasn't made her change her mind, this baby won't. My husband hasn't tried to slow down but I feel like if I give him information on the matter, maybe it'll sink in. So, any information on this topic? I want to give my baby the best start to life possible.
