Can COVID live in a room, surfaces, etc.

Family member tested positive beginning of August. Got their negative about 2 weeks ago.

Well; that family member was quarantined in the spare bedroom of the house.

Hubby and I came to visit our aunt and family member was no longer staying here.

Well, aunt was under the impression family member cleaned the room before leaving back home. Which he did not.

Aunt had us stay in the room where COVID person was quarantined for 2 weeks due to being positive.

Now i’m freaking out as we stayed in the room for 3 days not knowing this was the quartine room.

Would the virus have died already in the room, bed, pillows, mattress, etc.?? It’s been a week since the person tested negative. And i’m freaking out that hubby, Baby, and I will get sick since we stayed in the same room and slept on the same bed.

Anyone have insight or had similar situation and all was well?
