Does anyone’s babe have a whole milk sensitivity?

If so, how could you tell?

Tell me what you think could be happening with my son, cause I’m not sure what to do 😩

He turned one on 8/17 and for the past 5ish weeks we have been using up my freezer breastmilk stash and adding whole milk to it slowly. Increasing the amount of whole milk each week per my pediatricians recommendation. My son had been EBF up until this point. This past Monday, his bottles (the two he drinks) are mostly whole milk. The largest portion we’ve done so far, 4oz whole milk and 1oz frozen breastmilk. Well, for the past 2 days he has had extremely loose poops. Today at the sitter he pooped 5 times and came home with a TERRIBLE diaper rash. The most terrible rash I’ve ever seen. His bum is so red and he screamed with pain while being changed. We did a baking soda bath and lathered him up with A&D before bed tonight.

Do you think the mostly whole milk bottle is what is upsetting his stomach? Could it be a stomach bug? His diet hasn’t changed. He drinks plenty of water throughout the day. I’m at a loss at what to do 😞

I called our pediatricians office and left a message for the doctor to call me back but it was later in the afternoon and I never got a call back. Which is annoying.

We ended up doing an all frozen breast milk bottle before bed tonight.

Anyone have any recommendations? Should we try a milk alternative (almond/soy milk?)

I feel so bad for my boy cause he NEVER cries. He’s always so happy and he was miserable tonight. No fever. Just exhausted and miserable from pooping and crying from his rash all day.
