When do I see my Gyno?

For women who have had a baby... How long do you wait after you had the baby until you see the doctor for a pap smear again?

6 week postpartum checkup and then after that it’s however often you normally get a Pap smear, so like a year after that 6 week appointment for me.

I think it usually is 6 weeks, but maybe not with covid going around.  My gyno would only do a telephone appointment at 6 weeks.

Check with your doctor, he/she may recommend a specific time based on your history

They generally recommend having a pap done every 3 years. I had my baby January 2019 and had my pap smear at the 3 year mark from my last one, which was in September of 2019.
