I actively tried to conceive for 2 years with my baby’s father who was my partner at the time, when we found out I was pregnant he was very on and off constantly changing every week whether he wanted a baby or not and at 24 weeks he decided this wasn’t for him and he didn’t want to be a full time part of this child’s life he only wanted to visit him once or twice a week. No one in his family knows about the pregnancy he refuses to tell them and they all blocked me when we split and it’s not my place to tell them. He got in touch with me and asked me to inform him when we are signing the birth certificate and I said okay and I want him to have my surname. He didn’t like that and went on big rampage telling me it’s disrespectful etc and “he gave me” my son and is now saying he wants nothing to do with him. We aren’t married. I think I’m going to give him my surname anyway but what would you do?
