When did you start maternity leave?

I’m almost 34 weeks and I can’t see myself going on much longer. A lot of physical labour for me and a lot of crouching, bending, kneeling, etc. 😓😓

I stopped at 36 weeks to give myself some time in case she came early. She didn’t come until 42 weeks and I gave myself waayyyy too much time (so bored!! Haha)

Do you all live in America? In the UK you can start your maternity 11 weeks before your due date, or you can work up to your due date if you want. Then you get a year paid maternity leave

By law I had to start at 37 weeks - but I was on medical leave from week 14 or so.

37 weeks exactly. It was the perfect amount of time imo

Oops meant to hit later. My work contact says I ha e to stay until I give birth 😳 I left at 38+2 when I had my daughter.

Up until the day before I went into labor so almost 41 weeks with baby #5. I'll do the same with this one. I worked up until delivery with all of mine.

I planned to work until my due date as I wasn't planning to return to work. But I left at 38 weeks. The swelling in my legs and feet became too painful and I wasn't able to keep them elevated at work
