16 day old baby, nap question

Hello. I have a 16 day old baby girl who sleeps great at night time after feedings. She will nurse and then after about 5-10 mins of rocking she will lay down in her bassinet and go to sleep, but during the day time its not the same. During the day she will only sleep in mine or my husband's arms. If we try to put her down she will wake herself up within 10 mins. I guess I'm just wondering if this because of her age or is there something we can do to get her to sleep somewhere else during the day? I love the cuddles but I don't want to be confined to the couch all day long every day. And my husband goes back to work tomorrow so he won't be here to help.
