Night weaning and pacifiers

My daughter is 3 and still using a pacifier, and she nursed at night until she was 21 months old.

My son is 9.5 months and uses a pacifier too, and also wakes up to nurse in the night.

I want to stop nursing my son when he's a year old. Obviously I know I COULD go longer, but I don't want to, so please do not try to convince me I should. I've been either pregnant or nursing or both for four years straight and I'm absolutely finished.

Anyway, if I try to take my 3 year old's pacifiers away, she'll just steal her brother's, so I need to get both kids off pacifiers at the same time. I'm worried that taking my son's pacifier will make him wake up more for nursing in the night, which I certainly don't want.

Anyone have tips for how I can stop nursing at night AND get rid of the pacifiers?
