Steroid shots for baby's lungs?

I had two of them and wondering if they make a big difference if baby is born early?

They make a huge difference in a baby who is born prematurely. My daughter was born 8 years ago. I started going into labor 28 weeks and they gave me steroid shots. I delivered at 33 weeks and 4 days. She only stay one extra day in the hospital for jaundice. She was perfectly healthy and her lungs were developed.

Yes! We went into preterm labor at 33 weeks got both the shots tons of medicine. Kept her in a few more weeks and then when I was in labor there was meconium and all sorts of things that went wrong but we were so blessed she didn't aspirate the meconium and her ped said it could be due to those shots that she didn't!
