best laundry detergent???

I use tide simply, it has a fresh light smell and works really well on my husbands dirty farming clothes. I’ve always used snuggle fabric softener! Island Hibiscus to be exact! Dryer sheets are usually the same scent as my softener.

I use Biokleen and it works well for everything. If my son has bad grass or mud stains I soak his clothes overnight in a bucket of hot water and a scoop of OxiClean Baby since it’s nontoxic and does a great job with stains. I’ve never had any issues with smells, but if you’re having trouble then you might want to use vinegar to clean your washing machine or just get a new one because clothes shouldn’t smell after being washed

I switched from tide to persil and I don't think I will ever use anything else now!

I don't live in US, so can't suggest a brand, but... I have not had any problems with any detergent. I just buy the cheapest pr the one I like the smell of most. (i do use pods just for convinience, with those you don't need extra softener).What I am trying to say, is that if you clothes come out smell, them maybe there is something wrong with the maschine? Or setting of programmes or something?
