There is no too old. Each parent and baby should be allowed to decide what is best for their own situations and bodies.

In my personal opinion when baby can get all their nutritional values from eating a meal then you should start weening. They are no longer getting it from you so why keep going? Just my opinion people so don’t come for me. My sister breastfed her son for 3 years and that to me is just weird. He is eating full meals and snacks and drinking juice and water you don’t need to feed him from your boobs anymore.

Leave it up to the parents and their children to decide. If it’s not your body/child, it’s none of your concern.

I saw a pic of a woman breastfeeding her 6.5 yr old. Its a no for me. After 2 is when you should pump and pour in my opinion lol

It’s different for everyone. I personally wouldn’t breastfeed past 12-18 months, but that’s just me. I think if they have teeth and can ask for it, they’re too old. But if you want to breastfeed your 4 year old, go for it!

Well mostly it is personal preference. But I see that brestfed 4-5year olds are already quite weird. Just my opinion. I plan on feeding my baby no more than up to 1.5 years, and I think I am actually trying to stop at 1. But just that at this point they get all their nutrients from regular food, breastfeeding on is basically just a comfort thing, and I don't want to keep my boy stuck to my boob for years as a comforter.

3 is too old for me. 2 is pushing it for me personally.

There is no “too old”, breastfeeding through childhood is biologically normal. I think the length of time someone nurses for is up to them and their baby. I personally nursed my son until he was a little over 3 and that’s when he started to wean himself. I currently nurse our 2 month old with no intentions of stopping anytime soon! Lol
