When did your baby started to crawl?

My baby is 5 months and still is nowhere near crawling as he hates tummy time 😅. What did you do to encourage it, if anything?

My first started at 8 months, my second at 7 months. They both hated tummy time. I let them play on the floor and they eventually figured it out from sitting. Not all babies crawl so I wouldn’t worry, especially not that young.

The average baby starts crawling at 9 months. 
My son army crawled starting at 9 months and was finally hands and knees crawling at 15 months. But he has hypotonia so gross motor delays and odd progression is par for the course with him.

My son started army crawling at 7 months and crawling, crawling at 8 months. My son hated tummy time also until I got him a light up piano that played songs and the lights corresponded with the tune. He loved to watch it and would lift his head to see it.

My son crawled at 6mo. Every baby goes at their own pace, but he just did it out of the blue lol.

My daughter started trying around 6-7 months, and she finally has it mastered at 8 months. Give it time! 5 months is still pretty young for crawling.

My daughter hobbled around in her knees (8,5months) 🙈 she started crawling on all fours at 13 months and walked at 14.
I think most babies develop some kind of movement at 8/9 months, but the range is really wide.

My son just started this week. He'll be 10 months in a little over a week. He HATED tummy time until he could crawl and get back into a sitting position on his own lol

My son crawled at 4 months (I was devastated tbh I instantly missed the stationary baby stage 🤣), I think the average is like 9 months though and some babies skip crawling or bum-shuffle instead.
