Pre-labor?

I’m 30+6 with twin boys and I came into Labor & delivery at 11 last night and I’ve been here ever since. They’ve given me 3 rounds of medicine to stop contractions which were coming every 2-4 minutes, and gave me the steroid shot for the boys at 3am (I’ll be getting another shortly at 3am) they checked me for dilation and I was only dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced and I haven’t progressed from that. Has anyone had this happen and go into actual Labor shortly after?
