Am I allowed to ask for a c-section?

You can ask for whatever you want, that doesn't mean you will get it. Elective C for no medical reason is something my dr would say no to. I've also had a pain med free vaginal birth and a c-section. Vaginal is better, hands down

It's major surgery and not meant to be an elective procedure. It should be done in extreme situations only.

Why would you want to? I'm just curious, c-sections are a major surgery and recovery is a lot longer than vaginal birth. Just like any surgery there are risks that you are taking. I would look it up first before making a choice like that, if you haven't already.

I'm curious as to why you would ever in this world want a c section? coming from someone who had an emergency one and is now scarred for life physically and mentally because of it I would never suggest it to anyone and kind of upset people without complications want a c section. it's not something you should just want bc you want to pick the birthdate or whatever. it's a huge abdominal surgery that takes you away from your baby for an unknown amount of time and is very painful and sucks to recover from.
