Baby can’t go back to sleep
My LO can put herself to sleep at bedtime but when she wakes twice up at night to eat, she has a lot of trouble going back to sleep. I’ve tried leaving her to do it on her own but sometimes she’s up for two hours trying to fall asleep, not even crying just moving around in her crib. That’s a lot of sleep to lose so I end up patting her and putting her back on the breast but even that process can take an hour. She takes three naps during the day but they’re short. We try to save one nap and make it a bit longer so she’s not overtired but it doesn’t always work. I try to feed her more during the day but she nurses for a short time. I’m afraid my milk production is decreasing so I try to pump after her short feeds and my husband gives her the pumped milk. I think she needs the calories at night but I’d rather she get them during the day because it might help her sleep better at night. How can I help her fall back asleep at night as quickly as possible?
