Anybody work for the post office , ups or Fedex while pregnant ??

If so , when did you start taking it easy at work ? When did you tell your job ? Did you still work overtime ? Or did you only work 8 hours days ? I currently work for the post office as a letter carrier and the only thing my doc told me is to not lift over 30 pounds. But I work 10 - 11 hr days most of the week and 6 days a week. I mainly walk all day and I need to know if it’s safe for my baby. I’m 15 weeks.

Are you a actual letter carrier or a CCA?? I ask because when I was a CCA I seen Prego woman still have to do the long hrs etc. They really didn't have a choice. Unless they were taken off and put on Early maternity leave. Regular carriers have options. You can decide on your own to not take the over time and you shouldn't be made to work 6 days a week unless mandated. I have been off on early maternity leave since I was 22 weeks because it's been over 100 degrees everyday and they were mandating me to work those long hrs and do the heavy lifting. My Dr didn't feel comfortable with it and I started having issues related to my pregnacy so he took me off work and I don't go back until Jan . SMH do I want to go back of course but he literally gave me no choice and I didn't want to take any chances. 🤷🏾‍♀️. But it depends on your Dr I believe. I've seen other ccas do it but it damn sure wasn't in the Vegas heat. More so the winter time. But I think the heat had alot to do with it.

I was a server carrying heavy trays and running around for 8-12 hour shifts my first pregnancy! I closed (12 hour shift) the night before going in to be induced! You should be totally fine as long as you feel up for it!

I’m a nurse aide in a nursing home so I do a lot of lifting, pulling and pushing. I work 8hr shifts and walking close to 15,000 steps a day. I’m 18weeks along. When I go for my 20week appointment I will be asking for a small restriction just because of the people I deal with.

Yeah it safe for your baby. I worked 12 HR shifts on my feet in a factory with my first. You'll be fine.
