Lip tie

I’m a bit upset that I’m just finding out that my daughter might have a lip tie. She’s almost 6 months now and she’s breast fed. When she was a newborn breastfeeding was very painful (she’d unlatch and my nipple would look like the top of a lipstick I also bled a lot) and it was a horrible latch. At the time I only knew about tongue ties I’d never even heard of a lip tie. So I asked the nurses and the lactation consultant if she has a tongue tie because I suspected something was wrong when my nipples were in so much pain and her struggle to latch. This continued for about a month. At her one month we’ll checking asked them to check for tongue tie (I still had never heard of a lip tie at the time) and her pediatrician said she didn’t see a tongue tie Since she was born she has had a very hard time gaining weight she’s seen multiple gi doctors and they all blamed her CMPA, My breast milk not being fatty enough or underproducing, and they put me on elimination diets and put my daughter on medications. She was diagnosed with failure to thrive and she’s never passed the 12th presciently for weight since she was born(she was born in the 40th percentile). I took pictures of her lip today to compare it to lip ties on google but I don’t know what they look like I’ve never seen them before. I’m going to get my daughter seen by her pediatrician on Monday but I’m nervous and I don’t want to bring her in if she dosent actually have a lip tie like I suspect she does. Anyone with experience please comment any advice.
