Why sex every other day instead of everyday?

Why is sex every other day more effective while trying to get pregnant rather then everyday. Why?

You’ll see a difference of opinions here. I did research when I was ttc about whether to bd every day or every other day. There is a slightly high chance of conceiving if you bd everyday, but I’m talking like 3%. 
The reason most people say to bd every other day is that if you partner has any issues with sperm quality it can take longer for them to regenerate healthy sorry. However, if you’re both healthy and his sperm is healthy, there is no reason you can’t bd every day. 
We bd everyday the cycle I got pregnant (first cycle ttc after mc). All I’ll say on it was that it was exhausting 😂 it did end up becoming a chore after a while. But I did feel better knowing we gave it our all that cycle!
