Scared to take birth control after my son is born

Okay so I was on depo provera for 2 years and it took me a year to get pregnant and made me vitamin deficient and it screwed me up and I'm scared of birth control of any kind now but my husband doesn't like condoms and I don't want to get pregnant again too soon but Im afraid if I take birth control (even the pill) that when we start trying again at some point that I will struggle to get pregnant again and I don't want to deal with that heart break again 😣😣 what should I do?
