The owlet really would have helped me with my first. I was so worried about her that I couldn’t sleep in the early days. I had one temporarily when my baby was transitioning to her crib. It helped a lot at that time. Although, for video I STRONGLY recommend something that has a detached screen. Ones that connect to phones tend to be unreliable and it’s annoying to switch apps when you want to be on your phone (Facebook, texting, etc) while wanting to keep an eye on baby at the same time

Are you looking for one that is on your LO to ready heart rate, oxygen levels, etc. or are you looking for a monitor with audio/video? I used the infant optics and I loved it as a video monitor, shows temperature in the room and you can move the camera from the monitor. It also has different lenses for zooming in or a panoramic view of the room. I’m currently using the DB Power monitor because I have two cameras (one in my toddler’s room and one in my baby’s room) and it has some nice options for multiple cameras.

I have an owlet from my daughter who is almost 3, they have probably gotten better since then...but I didn’t love it. We had “false alarms” that scared the shit out of us multiple times. We may try it again with this babe, we will see. Just had a regular Motorola monitor with my son and liked that just fine. Keep sleep conditions safe and there’s not much to worry about!
