Getting baby to drink using straw
My daughter is a year old and will not use a straw to drink. She prefers her regular bottles or open cup with my help. Every time I try to teach her how to use a straw she just bites on it and chews it. I tried the technique where you hold your finger over a straw to keep the liquid in it and release it in her mouth, did that over and over and then tried to get her to suck on it but she just bites it.
I leave a straw cup filled with water out for her all day and she will try to use it then get frustrated and fuss for water in a baby bottle.
Any other tips or tricks to try?
