Hi y’all I just wanna share my story.

I was supposed to be due Dec18 2020 but I had my baby 9/9/20 at 9.47am

I had an emergency cerclage placement at 20wks exactly due to having a short cervix and contractions with a 1cm dilated cervix. They gave me steroids for his lungs. And I was told to be on bed rest which I did for a while but I recovered within 2wks and went back to normal routine.

I got married 8/28 so I had to plan my wedding myself since it was a small one, just few guest, but it turned out to stress the hell out of me. I was so weak after the wedding. We planned a trip to Vegas even tho I’m high risk and was suppose to let my MFM know I was traveling I didn’t. While in Vegas I began to have contractions I was rushed to the ER they stopped the contractions and gave me steroids for the baby’s lungs again to help them mature and was told to stay for a while we couldn’t so we took our flight back home the next day which was Friday.

Then on Sunday contractions started again back to ER they stopped it and sent me back home with procardia to use every 4hrs. It didn’t work. On Tuesday contractions started again and it was worse. We went to the hospital they tried to stop it worked but not for long. By midnight I had the worse of them all excruciating pain. I went from 1cm dilated to 10cm by morning baby’s head was down already. I was in active labor. With just 2pushes I had my baby. At 9:47am 9/9/20 weighing 1LB 10ounces. He’s so small they said he’s looks good for a 25weeker. This happened so fast. I don’t know what to do or say. I’m just tryna let it sink in. I’m so emotional 😭 I can’t even hold him they took him to the NICU. Mamas HOW LONG did YOUR preemies stay in the NICU?
