Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and 9 months, I recently checked his phone & realized he added a girl on Snapchat who he had a thing for but claims they were never anything, the messages show him sending her long paragraphs saying he loves her etc. her replies are with hearts & all, not sure if I should be upset over something like this? & idk how long its been but it was before we got together. Any advice

Girl I had this happen to me more than once with my ex and I wish I would have listened to ppl sooner u need to set ur ground and know ur worth and u don’t deserve it bec in the long run it’s always going to come up and it’s just mental torture to yourself

I don't get why guys do this. It sounds like he lied to protect your feelings. I'm sorry I know it's painful. It's your choice whether something like that is acceptable to you since it was before you guys got together. I would personally bring it up and be like I thought you said she didn't mean anything. Also, I wouldn't be able to trust him since he said that it wasn't anything anything but recently added her back, and you found those messages. I wouldn't be able to continue a relationship even though 9 months is a long time

If he has been messaging her or any other girls I love you abs having flirty texts then you should 100% break up with him. Especially since it hasn’t been 2 years… that’s not very long to already be browsing the menu….
