Is your baby right or left handed?

We recently discovered ours is left handed. Just curious on others, and how you found out!

I thought it couldn’t be determined until they were a little older since at a young age they will most likely go back and forth between right and left? I could be totally wrong though. So correct me if I am 🙂

I don’t think you can tell so early. My daughter definitely uses her right more, but time will tell.

I honestly have trouble telling. I don’t think it’s really determined until a bit later a lot of the time. My son used to use both of his hands all the time for things. He’s 3.5 almost and I’d say it wasn’t until he was at least 2.5 that we really started to be able to tell he was more right handed.

A lot of kids don’t show a true preference until 4/5. I’m a kindergarten teacher and have kids that use both still

My oldest is left handed and at 10 months she was switching utensils to her left hand more often than not. By 18 months I was positive she was left handed and she is.

I've noticed my son using both. I think we realized my daughter is right handed around 18 months.
