Anyone have OB turn baby manually?
So I’m nearing 34 weeks and baby is still breech.. the doctor told me not to worry yet because he still has some time to turn but of course I asked just in case what my options were if he doesn’t and she told me I can 1) just have a c section or 2) they can attempt to turn him manually and if he doesn’t turn I’d get a c section anyway
Apparently how they do it at my hospital is they give you a spinal block so you are numb and my doctor will come in with the other OB from her practice and both of them will try and turn him together and they will already have the OR set up and ready to go so if they can’t turn him or something goes wrong I’m ready to go and they literally wheel me down the hall and they can have him out in a matter of minutes..
In my mind I’m like what’s the harm in letting them try and turn him to avoid a c section but I’d be lying if I said the thought isn’t totally scary..
I will add I have been doing exercises and bouncing on my yoga ball and looked into spinning babies but he’s wedged up inside my right rib cage and is being super stubborn he’s been there since my 20w ultrasound and hasn’t moved since.. doctor seems hopeful he’ll still flip but call it mother’s intuition I just feel like he’s comfortable where he is and being stubborn lol
Just wanted to see if anyone has any positive experiences with the OB turning your baby manually and if it’s worth letting them try?
