No - I just feel lucky for being able to conceive. I have a few friends that can’t and it’s a definite reality check to be grateful.

I actually came on here to see some support on this. Many close people in my family have/had infertility issues. My aunt was never able to conceive, my sister had many miscarriages over years of trying before having my niece and my sister-in-law has desperately been trying and recently suffered the loss of an early miscarriage. It’s hard to express to anyone close to me (other than my husband) how much heartbreak I have not having a son. Girls run very strong in my family, having a son was always looked at as a gift straight from life itself. My dad engrained that birthing a son was the only way to continue my family’s heritage (a belief I hold true and close to my heart) so when we found out my first was a girl to say the least o was disappointed. My second pregnancy was a surprise gender and over those 9 months the pregnancy felt so different and I had so many dreams that the baby was a boy, and SHE was born a girl. I thought to wait until birth to find out to help crush that “gender disappointment” just in case it was another girl, sadly even in the moment of first holding my baby it was an emotion 70% pure joy and gratitude mixed with 30% heartbreak it wasn’t my son. Now in my third pregnancy I’m reluctant to find out what this baby is, I know I am going to be a very disappointed Mama to find out my third baby is a girl. Trust me I am very thankful to even be able to carry children and be a mother but I can feel the disappointment of not having the son I’ve always wanted. We’re having a small ‘reveal’ with smoke cannons on Facebook Live ... I just know if that smoke is pink, it’s not going to be too easy for me to smile or show any kind of excitement. 😞

3 girls and I did feel disappointed until my 3rd mainly because of my family's negative view of only having daughters 🙄

I haven’t but i won’t judge anyone who does. I know people who’ve had miscarriage after miscarriage and still been disappointed in the gender. I won’t judge anyone for being upset. They love their kids sooooo much. It’s normal to be like “oh shot another boy(or girl)”

I have not, but I know it happens and there is nothing wrong with that. To many people out there trying to tell others how to feel... is not ok. You are all entitled to feel however you feel and it doesn't mean you will love your baby any less than the next person.

I don't understand the hype about gender. You're going to love the baby no matter what. Just wait until it's born to find out that way you'll be so consumed with joy and love that you won't give a shit that it's one or the other.
