Emotional pregnancy spent mostly in hospital

After finding out we were pregnant with our second little girl I also found out I had gallstones. (I’m only 23 and normally fit and healthy) I ended up with Cholecystitis about 12 times ending in hospitalization in agony but they couldn’t remove my gallbladder until I had our baby. Finally the day came when little Blake Ripley was born [10th August. Two days after she was born I was hospitalized again, Cholecystitis again. This time I ended up getting pancreatitis as well, and I had severe jaundice (I looked like something out of the simpsons!) i was taken for emergency ECRP surgery and kept in hospital hooked up to IV fluids, antibiotics, and morphine, I couldn’t even move for days. All while my newborn was at home with my partner and two year old where I should of been! During my stay in hospital I also ended up getting an allergic reaction to the IV antibiotics! And had to have several injections daily and had to wear these things on my feet that pulsated to prevent blood clots due to just giving birth. After the surgery I slowly got better and after 7 days I was released. I had to return in a week to have my Gallbladder removed via keyhole surgery. The recovery was painful, and I had to spend another night in hospital. I couldn’t hold my daughters for a week in order to not open my stitches. But finally i feel back to normal, I can hold my daughters and finally eat a normal diet. I will never go through pregnancy again but I didn’t regret a thing and have two gorgeous girls!
