After they pass

I’m Hispanic and there’s a lot of songs I vaguely remember my mom playing that I obviously don’t listen to anymore because I don’t live with her anymore therefore am not around to hear (not to mention I mostly listen to Alt Rock now). I can sometimes remember either the pitch, a few words but mostly the beat of music she’d play early Sunday mornings (because it was cleaning day lol). I’ve asked my mom to make me a playlist of music she likes so that I can have something of hers when she passes (she doesn’t have possessions, life insurance or a will, not that I want any of that stuff, I just want mementos). She’s still fairly young so it’s not something she’s worried about just yet. I’ve asked her for over two years now and she still hasn’t. I guess I’m afraid to lose her unexpectedly and not have anything to remember her by. I’m such a mommy’s girl and can’t imagine my life with her.

Does anyone else have odd requests for their parents before they pass? Recipes? Tips for house care? Music? I don’t want to believe I’m the only one 😂
